for documentary purposes and others just lack that special
something that would give them unusual artistic merit.
Beautiful pictures is the category where we include selected
images, from a variety of topics, which we think are exceptionally
attractive. We hope it is the place you will think
of when you are looking for a pretty picture.

This website displays only a few of our collection of beautiful
pictures. At Walking Rain Gallery we have more, as
well as many pictures of other subjects. Clicking

whatever pictures and/or products you would like. We

About us and our beautiful pictures
We enjoy photography and use the income from sales of our
pictures and products to finance more travel and photography. However,
we find the rights management conditions required by stock
photo companies unreasonable.
Our copyright and digital rights management is very simple:
you can do anything you want with these images, including
using them for commercial products, except claim
you have a copyright to the original image. We retain
the right to use the images ourselves in any way we please. Fair
enough?
We have included images on the website which are not
large enough to print a 5" x
7" at
300 DPI. The download for those is free. We think
that is a good way to let customers test our shopping cart
and enjoy pictures which are to small for demanding uses.
Techniques & Technology I got my first camera (a Nikkormat) in 1965 and have been
taking pictures ever since. We took slides for many
years and then converted to film. We finally made the
move to digital and are still in the conversion process. This
and related sites are being built by converting our huge
collection of negatives to digital, editing them with Photoshop,
and building websites based on the pictures and our experiences
taking them. It's a lot of work so it will be a while
before these sites can be considered a finished project. We
think there is a lot to enjoy in the meantime through. |

Proverbs are

today. We like to combine pictures with a variety
